Microsoft today released the February 2018 Firmware and Drivers Pack of its Cumulative update which was released for its Surface Book devices. The Cumulative updates released last week were aimed at improving the overall system and battery stability of the Surface Book.

The Cumulative Update can be downloaded via Windows Update or if you are looking to download it manually you can do so by downloading and installing the current package. The Cumulative Update is available for Windows 10 users with Creators and Fall Creators Update installed on their devices.

Surface Book users will need to look for the version 90.2098.256.0 as the Firmware update along with version 1.1.339.1 which installs,  bringing System and battery stability for the Surface book devices.

Surface Book users would need to go to Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update>Check for Update to download the latest Firmware update via OTA and users who haven’t yet got the update they need to wait since the update might not hit all the devices at the same time.

To download the update package manually you would need to save, extract and install the correct and relevant file for your device. Do remember that you would need to reboot your device for the relevant changes to take effect.
