Microsoft has just released a major update to Windows Store on Windows 10 Mobile and PCs. The latest update has renamed Windows Store to Microsoft Store. It appears that the new version of Windows Store has a bug that prevents us from updating the apps on both Windows 10 Mobile and PC.

If you’ll try to download, install or update the apps on the Windows Store, you might receive an error 0x80073CF9. It is not possible to install or update any Windows Store apps on Windows 10 Mobile and PCs in the Release Preview Ring.

It could be possible that it is a backend bug and has nothing to do with the new Microsoft Store. At the moment, the bug hasn’t affected all users but it appears to a widespread issue.

This isn’t the first time the Windows 10 users have faced error 0x80073CF9. You can try to clear the cache or just wait for Microsoft to patch the bug. Are you able to download or update the Windows Store apps on your device?
