Panasonic launches the Toughpad FZ-F1 in Australia

The general manager of Mobile Solutions at Panasonic Australia claims that rugged mobile market is expected to continue its steady growth and as a result, Panasonic is expanding its rugged mobile device to other markets.

The Toughpad FZ-F1 features a slim and lightweight design with a drop rating of 6′ and have also passed a torturous tumble test that saw the devices endure 2,000 consecutive 3.3′ drops.

“The FZ-F1 will help to slash field failure rates, raise productivity and reduce work-based injuries thanks to its innovative design. Panasonic has a strong 20-year heritage in the Toughbook category and we will continue to adapt and serve businesses with our tailored solutions,” Panasonic said.

It is based on Windows 10 IoT Mobile Expertise and has a 4.7-inch display. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the Toughpad FZ-F1 doesn’t compromise when it comes to performance. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.

As you might have guessed already, the device is for the enterprise customers and it costs A$2799 ($1,599). It is coming to the Australian stores later this month.
