A concept of Alarms & Clocks on Windows 10

Microsoft is improving Windows 10 with the new Fluent Design System and animations. When the company announced Windows 10 Creators Update, they had also released the Windows UI platform APIs. Microsoft releases the new API to encourage the Universal Windows Platform developers to develop the changes in their applications.

“Too much standardization can potentially lead to conformity,” writes Microsoft. Back in June, Microsoft has revealed the new “Connected Animations” and today it is coming to the Alarms & Clock app.

The Connected Animations are great for animating controls inside a page. The new mechanism makes the animation of the Alarms & Clock app even sweeter. When you’ll click on the fullscreen button in the Timer, Stopwatch page, the app switches to fullscreen and you will be able to notice the new animation.

Alarms & Clock app has been updated to version 10.1709.2481.0. Microsoft is updating the Alarms & Clock app for Skip Ahead Insiders with Windows 10 PCs and Tablets. You can download the update by heading to Windows Store and checking for updates.
