Earlier we reported that Microsoft will be releasing 2 major updates every year for Windows 10 with latest security improvements and features. However now it turns out that some of the Windows 10 devices are unable to update to the Latest Windows 10 Creators Update.

The Devices which are powered by Intel Atom Clover Trail Processors are devices which are not supported and are unable to upgrade to the Creators  Update showing error “Windows 10 is no longer supported on this PC.” These Devices will be stuck on Anniversary Update and might not receive the latest Windows 10 Creators update.

However Microsoft is working on the issue faced by Atom devices with Z2760, Atom Z2760, Atom Z2520, Atom Z2560, and Atom Z2580, and Acer. Acer in a formal statement confirmed that it is working with the Redmond Giant to provide compatible drivers to address the incompatibility issue.

We are not sure if these devices will actually receive the Creators Update since Microsoft had already blocked these CPUs from being offered the latest version since April. This would mean that the devices powered by the above chipsets will be stuck on Anniversary Update and will not be getting updated to either the Creators Update or the new version Falls Creators Update due to be released in September.
