Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg took some time off from his daily routine to post some great news. The CEO has announced that as of today the Facebook community is being officially used by 2 billion people across the Globe.

Facebook which had one billion active users as on October 2012, has taken just 5 years to reach the 2 Billion active users mark. The Social Media Giant in a blog post stated:

“Each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Groups every month. To show our appreciation for the many ways people support one another on Facebook, we will share several personalized experiences over the coming days.”

Facebook is currently providing a personalized video stats which can be found in the News Feed or by visiting the Good Adds Up Page. The CEO also confirmed that reaching a milestone of 2 Billion is a small step for the Social Media giant which is working on bringing people more closer irrespective of their current location and language.
