Mail and Calendar app is now receiving a new update for Windows 10 Mobile Devices. The update has been released to all Windows Insider devices running Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update in Fast Ring.

Mail and Calendar app has been updated to versionĀ 17.8241.40986.0. The update comes with no new features or major changes. Although, it is an important update as it has improved the overall performance and stability of the app.

After installing the latest update, Mail and Calendar app works smooth and it isĀ way faster when opening mails. There are no new features and it seems the bug have been squashed as well. However, Microsoft has still not added the Fluent Design Elements to the Outlook Mail and Calendar app on Windows 10 Mobile.

For those who don’t know,Ā Fluent Design System is a way to easily create cross-device experiences that look right on a variety of screen shapes and sizes. Itā€™s intended to help apps work correctly across everything from phones, through tablets, to laptops and desktop PCs with big displays. However, the Fluent Design System is about more than just screens. Indeed, itā€™s also intended to embrace devices that might have no screen at all, such as wearables or Cortana-powered smart speakers. Microsoft says the Fluent Design System will be able to cope with apps that interact through touch, ink, voice, gaze, and gesture, in addition to the traditional keyboard and mouse.

The update is still rolling out and you can download the updated app by visiting the Windows Store.
