At the recent Citrix Synergy event held in Orlando the company announced a new Citrix REceiver app for Windows. The app allows Win32 apps to run on Windows 10 S.

Windows 10 S is expected to offer a safer and more stable computing experience to Windows users. Organisations with Windows 10 S Operating System can use specific Win32 apps such as Google’s Chrome Browser.

Citrix Receiver which connects to the XenApps and XenDesktop by using an option SecureICA Encryption for the connection will allow users to run Win32 programs on Windows 10, as well as Windows 10 S, through virtualisation.

The app being Universal allows support to Windows 10 and Windows 10 S,  along with bringing support to Windows 10 Mobile, Windows 10 IoT and HoloLens. It also offers full support for touch, pinch, zoom, drag and drop.
