Microsoft’s biggest missing feature in the Creators Update was the My People app. The My People app was supposed to be released to Insiders via the Creators Update but was later postponed for an RS 3 release.

With the latest Insider Preview Build for Redstone 3 for PCs, the Redmond Giant has finally made available the My People app. The app is currently available for users on Fast Ring Redstone 3.

The My People experience includes most of the features which were demoed by Microsoft earlier. Users would now be able to pin people to your taskbar and also will be able to interact with them. You will be able to start a conversation with them once you pin people to taskbar via Skype or send them an email using the Outlook Mail app.

To let users access all of the contacts/people in Windows 10, Microsoft has added a button which makes it easier to start a conversation whenever needed. Another important feature of My People app is a new Shoulder Taps which has a really cool animation for emojis whenever a contact sent you an emoji in an app.

The Shoulder Taps features is currently not available with the latest build but is likely to be included in the next build in the coming week. We will however keep you posted on when the company plans to release the new Shoulder Tap feature to Windows Insiders. Until then let us know your experiences with the new My People App after downloading the new Insider Build, in the comments below.
