Microsoft in a recent report confirmed that the Windows OEM revenue has increased 5% YoY. The recent reports from IDC suggest that the commercial PC market is going through a replacement cycle and that consumers are attracted towards new classes of PCs such as thin and light laptops and gaming PCs and laptops.

Microsoft also reports that both the commercial and consumer PC market has seen an increase in the Higher end premium models with Windows 10 Pro market growing its revenue by 10%.

The company reported a total revenue of $22.1 Billion GAAP which is down from $25.7 billion YoY. Acer today reported 120% YoY growth in its detachable Windows market which has seen Windows grow its share of the tablet market.
