WhatsApp Team has pushed out a new update for iOS users on iOS Devices. The team has pushed out the latest update with  adding support for SiriKit. Users on iOS devices will now be able to use Siri, the Digital Assistant from Apple, to read out new messages which is helpful for visually impaired users or users who are driving.

The users would need to say the usual “Hey Siri” String and then ask the Digital Assistant to read new messages on WhatsApp. The Developers have also pushed out the option to even reply to the messages using Siri for the received messages.

The WhatsApp team is currently also working on bringing the option to Android via Google Assistant and Windows Phone via Microsoft’s Digital Assistant Cortana. But currently there is no time frame given. We hope that the option will be made available to users of Android and Windows sooner than later.

The latest update with version 2.17.2.0 to the WhatsApp application is available on the app store but users would be required to be on iOS 10.3 and above to use the option. If any of our users are using iOS with version 10.3 then they can download the latest WhatsApp update by clicking the below App Store link.
