UPDATE: The changelog is live now on the Feedback Hub and the only change mentioned is that Mobile is getting some security updates. No fix for Edge and the other annoying bugs apparently. Also, it looks like the update is heading out to all insiders, irrespective of the Insider ring.

Looks like Microsoft is on a roll today. After starting to roll out the Creators Update to the PCs, a cumulative update for Mobile, a new build is being pushed out to the Windows 10 Mobile insiders on fast ring as well.

Named as, ‘April 2017 Windows 10 Version Update 15063.138 for arm-based Phone devices’, the update appears to be a minor one with some bug fixes. This update comes after Dona Sarkar, the head of the Windows Insider Program announced that no new insider builds will roll out today.

Is the build then a mistake? We don’t know what might have happened, but hey, any update for the Mobile is a good update right? Also the naming convention has raised some eyebrows, ‘arm-based Phone devices’. Is it a deliberate hint that something new is happening for the Phones? The Surface Phone is coming maybe?

We don’t know the reason, but we know one thing. The update takes quite a time to download. As of writing this article, no changelog jas been published and I couldn’t find anything new in the build. We’ll update this article once the changelog is out and in the meantime do mention any new developments you may find after updating.
