We are currently seeing a resurgent PC market as users are moving towards buying thin, light and mobile notebooks along with more powerful PCs for gaming.

PC and Notebook ODM Compal Electronics President Ray Chen announced that they are expecting the Notebooks and desktop shipment to grow by 10% year on year in 2017 meaning the company will be able to sell close to around 40 million units.

Microsoft has also seen its Windows OEM Sales increase 5% YoY in their latest released financials. This would mean that the PC markets moves on from once again becoming a vibrant part of the smart computing device.

Apart from Microsoft, Digitimes through its resources confirmed that top notebook vendors have already seen an increase in sales of around 22% YoY in February 2017.
