Microsoft today announced that it is making some changes to the search engine of its Windows 10 Maps app with the upcoming Creators Update to be released next month.

The company via its Feedback Centre announced that its Maps application will now have a new search engine Bing Maps for location, layout and site generation. The company announced that it has made significant changes to the Windows Maps platform in the Creators Update for Windows 10.

Earlier Microsoft used the HERE Maps as the search engine for updating the map engine which allowed users to take the right path to improve global maps. But now with the Creators Update the company says the new map engine will be Microsoft’s Bing Maps which ensures that users are able to see mountains, real time traffic and more.

The Changes to the Map Engine can be seen today for Insiders in the Fast Ring by downloading the Windows Maps app for Windows 10.
