Google has also confirmed that the new Sector 5 E1 ad E2 Chromebooks will run Android Apps and will have access to the Google Play Store. In addition Google confirms that the Sector 5 E1 and E2 will be receiving Android Support and users will be able to download Skype and Microsoft Office Apps.

Roger McKeague, Sector 5 CEO stated, “As Chromebooks continue to gain widespread popularity as cost-effective laptops, one concern was whether the app ecosystem was robust enough. Adding Android apps and the Google Play Store brilliantly answers this. We have just extended our Google Chrome OS Brand Features and Support Agreement for another 2 years.”
