Microsoft recently pushed out a big and neat update to its Digital Assistant App Cortana on iOS And Android. The update was pushed with changes to the UI for the Digital Assistant on Android and iOS. Now we have some news coming in that the Redmond Giant is currently working on releasing a new update to its digital assistant app for android.

The  company plans to make the Digitant Assistant work on the Android Lock Screen with the latest update. The company is currently testing the feature with the Beta testers on Android and it should be available for all Android users very soon.

Once you install the new update and open Cortana, then it’ll ask you to enable “Cortana on lock screen” and alfter clicking on the “Add Cortana to my lock scree” button the feature will be enabled on your phone. You will be able to see a Cortana logo near the bottom of your lock screen and you can swipe the logo left or right to open up the Cortana panel.

You will be able to view all the updates from the Cortana panel on your lock screen and even ask Cortana anything you want. Cortana will be working  with your existing lock screen on Android which is a pretty neat feature.

One more feature of Accessing Cortana on lock screen is that you don’t require to unlock your phone meaning you will be able to access your data without unlocking the device. You might want to hide some sensitive information, in which case you would like to disable this feature. Hopefully Microsoft might try and add the ability to hide sensitive information on the lock screen in the next following update.
