Cortana, the personal assistant launched by Microsoft which was first available for Windows 8.1 is now also available for Windows 10.Microsoft’s personal assistant is not only available for Windows but is also available for IOS and Android.

Microsoft last week brought Cortana and Bing together under  one name Microsoft Research under the guidance of Harry Shum. The Group relies on artificial intelligence based on several technological factores like availability of massive amount of data, the vast computational capacity and achievements of speech recognition.

Today we have about 133 million users who use Cortana, and we responded to more than 10 billion applications. People begin to use more and more Cortana. And this, together joining forces with Microsoft Research and the more artificial intelligence researchers makes us have very high expectations regarding the quality of Cortana and its user experience.

Harry Shum also confirms that in the future Cortana could become more like a chatbot , on the lines of Google’s Assistant. However, Microsoft will first study the needs of users , based on data collected by the chatbot which it has issued, which has found much success in the Asian public.

The decision to bring these groups under one wing is based on the new vision brought by CEO Satya Nadella to focus on innovations brought by the research and bring out products to users as soon as possible.
