Internally, Microsoft has been working on improving the Windows Update settings page which is one of the most used settings by insiders for updating to newer pre-release builds. In one of the upcoming Redstone internal builds, Update settings page allows user to customize “active hours”. So, if a user sets active hours between 7AM and 12AM then this will mean that Windows Update will install and restart for any updates only during that time.
The option which was already present and used to determine when your phone or PC will restart to install an update has also received an improvement. Earlier this option used to show up only when a pending update was ready to install. But now users can customize it on the windows update settings page even if there are no updates.
